On 11 August 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima held a Buddhist chanting ceremony in honour of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother at the Embassy, on the occasion of Her Majesty’s birthday anniversary and Thailand’s National Mother’s Day on 12 August 2026.

 

On this occasion, Mr. Kasem Sailuenam, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., lit candles and incense in homage to the Triple Gem and paid respects before Her Majesty’s portrait. The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. then led the Embassy’s officials and staff, together with their spouses, in Buddhist chanting as an expression of profound gratitude and remembrance of Her Majesty’s immeasurable benevolence towards the Thai people.
