The Royal Thai Embassy in Lima was founded on 2 December B.E. 2549 (2006) with a view to strengthening the bilateral relations and cooperation between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Peru, as well as invigorating the relations between Thailand and the Andean Community. The Royal Thai Embassy in Lima was also accredited by the Governments of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela.
