The Royal Thai Embassy in Lima hereby announces the conclusion of a series of Muay Thai events in Peru. The events, which were co-organized by in the Peruvian Muay Thai Sports Federation, showcased the cultural exchange and athletic excellence that Muay Thai brings to the forefront.

Throughout the events, held from May 29 to June 1, participants and spectators alike experienced the rich traditions and skillful techniques of Muay Thai by the delegation of trainers from Lanna Fighting Muay Thai. The events fostered an environment of unity, respect, and sportsmanship, bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds.

On May 29 and 31, the delegation of Muay Thai trainers, consisting of Kru Din (Wittawat Kasom), Kru Toom (Anusorn Injai) y I-oon (Patchayaporn Kasom), conducted skills training for the Peruvian Muay Thai national team in collaboration with the F-14 School of Mr. Rodrigo Jorquera. In addition, the delegation also offered a comprehensive Muay Boran workshop, delving into 15 techniques of "Mae Mai" that can be applied in various types of competitions or real-life self-defense situations. Notably, our esteemed guests included Mr. Renzo Manyari, President of the Peruvian Olympic Committee, and Mr. Sebastián Suito Lopez, President of the Peruvian Muay Thai Sports Federation.

Collaborating with Mr. Igor Del Castillo, Secretary-General of the Peruvian Muay Thai Sport Federation, the delegation organized a special training session for fighters at the Punta Hermosa Training Club on May 30. Following that was a public training session where Muay Thai classes were offered to young fighters and kids from the Social Project of Punta Hermosa. It was an opportunity to nurture talent and introduce the community to
the art and discipline of Muay Thai.

On May 31, the delegation was warmly received by Mr. Enrique Valentín Cabrera Sulca, the Mayor of Pachacamac District, and the people of the community of Pachacamac. In Pachacamac, a public training session were conducted for young fighters and kids from the Social Project of Pachacamac. It was a testament to the positive impact the sport can have on local communities.

The significance of Muay Thai extended beyond sports as on June 1, we had the honor of delivering a Muay Thai applied self-defense lesson to the students of DINOES. This session equipped them with practical skills that can be utilized in their line of duty, empowering them with effective techniques derived from the art of Muay Thai.

In summary, the series of Muay Thai events in Peru were a resounding success.
We are excited to witness the flourishing of Muay Thai in Peru and the strong bonds it has forged among people from all groups. The events not only showcased the athletic prowess of the participants but also strengthened the connection between our countries at a people-to-people level through the universal language of sports.
