On September 5th, the ASEAN Committee in Lima donated books on South East Asia to the Center of Asian Studies at San Marcos University (CEAS). Now a section within the Central Library at San Marcos University will be designated as the ASEAN corner. This book handover will help younger generations of Peruvians with a better understanding in South East Asia. With Peru recently signing the Instrument of Accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, ASEAN and Peru move closer towards collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
