On 14 October 2026, The Royal Thai Embassy in Lima organized a volunteer public service and charitable activity on the occasion of Nawamindra Maharaj Day (13 October 2026) and Chulalongkorn Day (23 October 2026). The activity took place at Vidas Centre in San Miguel, Lima, which provides care and protection for vulnerable girls and young women, including pregnant adolescents, adolescent mothers, and their children, under the supervision of Peru’s Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations. At present, a total of 25 adolescent mothers and children reside at the centre.
On this occasion, H.E. Ms. Ek-on Khunacharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to Peru, led the Embassy officials and staff in providing luncheon for the adolescent mothers, their children, and the centre’s staff as part of the Embassy’s efforts to serve the community and support vulnerable groups in society. The activity also served as an expression of loyalty and a tribute to the boundless benevolence of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and His Majesty King Chulalongkorn the Great, in remembrance of their gracious contributions to the Thai nation and people.
