On 18 April 2026, Mr. Kasem Sailueanarm, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., presided over the opening ceremony of the Singpatong Muaythai Academy Peru in Lima, together with Mr. David Campana, Chief Executive Officer of the academy, and officials from the Embassy.

            On this occasion, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. held discussions with Mr. Campana on the Embassy’s commitment to promoting Muay Thai in Peru. He also invited the academy to send its Muay Thai athletes to participate in the Embassy’s cultural activities in order to further raise awareness of Muay Thai in Peru.

            Mr. Campana previously spent several years training in Muay Thai in Thailand before returning to Peru to teach Muay Thai. The Singpatong Muaythai Academy Peru focuses on teaching Muay Thai as a form of self-defense, while also developing traditional techniques and promoting health and fitness.
