On 11 May 2026, Mr. Kasem Sailuenam, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., delivered an opening remarks at the Amazing Thailand (Post-ILTM) Latin America Roadshow 2026 together with Mr. Santi Sawaengcharoen, Executive Director of the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa Region. The event was organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Los Angeles Office, at the JW Marriott Hotel in Bogotá, Colombia. Ms. Pornpan Intratat, Director of the TAT Los Angeles Office, and Mrs. Margarita Pallini, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Bogota also attended the event.

 

The event brought together a large number of Thai tourism operators and Colombian travel agencies, providing an opportunity for both sides to engage in business matching and networking activities. These activities play an important role in building confidence and encouraging the promotion and sale of Thai tourism products and services, which will help increase the number of quality tourists and generate further tourism revenue for Thailand.

 

In 2025, the total number of tourists from Latin America traveling to Thailand reached 221,824, representing a growth of 17.93 percent. Of this number, 27,301 were Colombian tourists, marking a significant increase of 60.45 percent. These figures clearly reflect the strong potential and growth trend of the Latin American market, particularly the Colombian market.
