On 3 December 2021, the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima organized activities on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Thai Father’s Day “5 December 2020” at the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima. Activities include:
1. At 11.00 hours, His Excellency Sorayut Chasombat, Ambassador of Thailand to Peru, along with Thai communities in Peru and members from the Embassy, paid tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great in the Flower Laying and Paying Homage Ceremony.
2. At 11.40 hours, the Embassy held a lunch reception on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand for the Thai community in Peru. During the opening of the reception, His Excellency Sorayut Chasombat, delivered a keynote speech on the Thai Monarchy, contemporary Thai society and bilateral relations between Thailand and Peru. Following the keynote speech were Thai cultural performances from the Gopesvara Arts Academy, the Peruvian Federation of Muay Thai and the member of Thai Community in Peru including (1) Thai Homage Dance (Rum Buang Suang) (2) Silk Dance (Fon Sao Mai) (3) Xylophone Dance (Serng Pong Lang) and (4) Muay Thai Demonstration.
Thai Peoples celebrate altogether each year on the 5th of December for three auspicious occasions: the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the National Day, and the Father’s Day. The Embassy would like to thank the Thai community,
the “Friends of Thailand” community in Peru for their collaborations on this very special day.
