Thailand’s Immigration Bureau has introduced the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) to facilitate travelers entering Thailand. This digital system does away with paper forms, making the immigration process faster, easier, and more secure.

Effective from May 1st, 2025, all non-Thai nationals entering the Kingdom of Thailand, regardless of their mode of transportation, including land, sea, and air, must complete the TDAC online. Thai nationals returning to Thailand are not required to fill out the TDAC.

The TDAC can be submitted online within a three-day window preceding the travel date.

To get started, please have the following information ready:

  • Passport and other travel documents;
  • Personal details like your full namedate of birth, and nationality
  • Travel itinerary, including flight informationarrival date, and accommodations in Thailand; and
  • Any necessary health declarations.

Now, you’re ready to begin registration:

Step 1: First, visit the official website at tdac.immigration.go.th and click the “Arrival Card” button or simply scan the QR code.

Step 2: Provide your passport information. You may do so by uploading a clear photograph of your passport or by manually inputting your personal information in English.

Step 3: Provide your travel itinerary, including your flight details and where you’ll be staying in Thailand. Click “Continue” to move to the next step.

Step 4: For individuals with specific nationalities or travel history to areas identified as high risk for specific diseases within the last 14 days, the system will prompt you to provide additional health declaration information. Click “Next” to proceed.

Step 5: If traveling with others, you can click the “Add” button to include their information, repeating the previous steps for each person.

Step 6: Now, take a moment to carefully review all the information you have entered. If you need to make any changes, just click “Edit” button.

Step 7: Enter your email address to receive confirmation of your TDAC submission, agree to the terms and conditions, and click “Submit” to finalize your application.

Step 8: Finally, download the evidence of your TDAC submission or check your email for the confirmation. Be sure to have this ready to present upon your arrival in Thailand.

Completion of the TDAC online is mandatory for all foreign nationals before their arrival and can be completed right up until the time the traveler goes through immigration.

Thailand Digital Arrival Card FAQs

Here are some questions we tend to get asked a lot about TDAC:

  1. Do children/infants need a TDAC?
Yes, all travelers are required to submit a TDAC, and that includes children and even infants. Parents or guardians accompanying the child must complete the form on their behalf.
  2. How do I receive my TDAC?
After you finish applying for the Thailand Digital Arrival Card, you will receive a confirmation email along with the TDAC as a QR code. The PDF can be printed out or shown on your smart devices at the immigration checkpoint.
  3. What happens if I don’t receive the email or QR Code?
Notify the immigration officer at the immigration checkpoint.
  4. What do I do if I dont have a mobile device or internet access to complete the TDAC online?
Several airports offer internet WiFi to complete the form online as well as kiosks if your device is unavailable. The airports with TDAC kiosks include Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), Don Mueang Airport (DMK), Phuket Airport (HKT), Chiang Mai Airport (CNX), and Hat Yai Airport (HDY).
  5. If I complete the TDAC, do I still need a visa?
Absolutely. A TDAC is not a visa and cannot replace one. However, this depends entirely upon your nationality.
  6. If I’m only passing through (in transit), do I still need a TDAC?
No, you do not need to submit the TDAC. Only travelers passing through the immigration checkpoint and leaving the airport need to submit a TDAC.
  7. How much does it cost to submit the TDAC?
Read this very carefully: The TDAC can be completed free of charge. This is a free immigration process that costs nothing, and travelers should be wary of any website charging administrative fees.
  8. How long is the TDAC valid for? Can I use it for multiple entries?
The TDAC is valid for single entry only, up to 72 hours before entry. This means you must submit a new TDAC for every entry into Thailand.
  9. Is the information I provide in the TDAC safe?
Yes, your information is secured according to Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and can only be accessed by immigration and border security authorities. Furthermore, your data is not shared externally to other countries.
  10. Where can I find the latest updates to the TDAC process?
Find the details of the latest Version Update on the official Thailand Digital Arrival Card website.
