On June 17, the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima organized a culinary demonstrationat the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL) where Chef Nooror SomanySteppe, iconic Chef of the Blue Elephant cooking school and restaurant chain,along with her son, Chef Kris Steppe, gave a master class on Thai cuisine. Chef Nooror first gave a brief explanation of the history of Thai Cuisine, famousThai ingredients and Thai cuisine of different regions of the country. She thenproceed to show attendants how to make curry paste, and Chicken Red Curry withPineapple. The event was attended by more than 50 students and staff from USIL.Attendants enjoy a tasting of her plate afterwards.
