APPLYING FOR A VISA AT THE ROYAL THAI EMBASSY IN LIMA

Since 1 January 2025, residents of countries under the jurisdiction of the Royal Thai Embassy: Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Bolivia who wish to apply for a Thai visa must apply and submit his/her application through the new online e-Visa platform at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ It is no longer required for the applicant to submit his/her passport and original supporting documents in person at the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima.

How to apply online:

  1. Create an Account
  2. Fill in an Application Form
  3. Upload Supporting Documents
  4. Pay Visa Fee
  5. Wait for the Visa to be Processed
  6. e-Visa confirmation document sent by email

After the E-visa application has been approved, a confirmation email will be sent to applicants. It is kindly requested to print a copy of the confirmation email to present to airline and the Thai Immigration Officials to carry out checks when traveling to Thailand.

*Upon entering Thailand travelers must present: Passport with a minimum validity of 6 months, copy of Visa and International Certificate of Vaccination against Yellow Fever.

Information to consider:

  • Processing time is up to 10 business days (Weekend and Holiday Excluded). This means within 10 business days; you should see the status update on your Visa application dashboard. If you received an email requesting more documents, please allow an additional 5 business days after you submitted additional documents for your Visa to be processed. 
  • Visa fee is nonrefundable, please double check all information before submitting. Mismatch information will be rejected as the officers are not able to edit any information entered by the applicant. Applicants will have to re-submit and the Visa fee is non-refundable. 
  • Per the regulation, the Embassy "cannot" issue a visa for foreign nationals who are currently in Thailand. All travelers need to obtain a visa before entering Thailand.
  • The Embassy CANNOT edit or correct personal data, only applicants can do it.
  • Consular officers reserve the right to request additional documents as deemed necessary and reserve the right to reject any application without having to provide reasons.
  • In the event that applicants fail to submit the required documents or additional documents requested by the Embassy within 45 days from the submission date, applications will be cancelled without notice. The application processing fee (visa fee) will NOT be refunded.

Visa exemption for 60 days

New entry regulations for Thailand have come into effect from 15 July 2024. Nationals of 93 countries have benefited from visa exemption. These countries include Colombia and Ecuador.

 

Visa on Arrival (VOA)

Bolivian and Venezuelan citizens traveling for tourism for a period of less than 15 days may apply for a visa upon arrival in Thailand, which can be requested at immigration checkpoints in Thailand upon arrival.
