On 21 January 2026, Mr. Kasem Sailuenam, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., together with officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima, was invited by Mr. Roger Arakaki, Peruvian owner and well known chef of Lima Thai Restaurant , to discuss cooperation on the Embassy’s project to organize a Thai cooking competition in Peru, scheduled to take place in April 2026 at the Columbia Institute in Lima. On this occasion, Mr. Arakaki also invited the delegation to taste  Thai cuisine served at his restaurant. The Embassy has previously cooperated with Mr. Arakaki and the Columbia Institute on a project to promote Thai cuisine in Peru in 2024.

Lima Thai Restaurant is located in Surco, Lima. It serves Thai fusion cuisine and is open daily, except Mondays, from 12:00 to 22:30. hrs.
