On 18 October 2026, H.E. Ms. Ek-on Khunacharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to Peru, hosted a dinner for Mr. Lert Narongchaisakun, Senior Marketing Officer, and Ms. Candy Krajangsri, Public Relations and Media Officer, from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Los Angeles Office at the Ambassador’s Residence. Officials of the Royal Thai Embassy also attended the dinner.

The TAT representatives were visiting Peru to participate in the Global Meaningful Travel Summit 2026, organised by Tourism Cares from 17 to 23 October 2026 to promote learning and the exchange of experiences in sustainable tourism, particularly community-based tourism.

On this occasion, the Ambassador and the TAT representatives exchanged views on ways to promote tourism between Thailand and Peru, as well as between Thailand and Colombia with a view to attracting more visitors and further strengthening tourism cooperation between the countries.
