On 1 December 2023, at 19.00 - 21.00 hours, the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima organized a reception on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Thailand’s Father’s Day at Salón Paracas, Swissotel Lima.

Dr. Threetep Nopkhun, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima, hosted the reception, with the presence of H.E. Ambassador Elmer José Germán Gonzalo Schialer Salcedo, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Peru, as the Guest of Honour.

The event was attended by more than 200 people, including diplomatic corps, consular representatives, international organization officers, Peruvian authorities, private sector executives, Thai community members and media.

As tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the Royal Musical Compositions including more than 30 songs composed by His Majesty were played throughout the reception.

The Embassy also organized Thai cultural shows including two classical Thai dance routine (Fon Sao Mai and Kinnaree/Manorah Dance) by Gopesvara Arts and a demonstration of Muaythai by the fighters from the Peruvian Federation of Muaythai during the event.
