On 30 June 2021 at 15.00 hours at the Casa de Nariño, Bogota, Republic of Colombia, His Excellency Sorayut Chasombat presented the Letters of Credence to His Excellency Iván Duque Márquez, President of the Republic of Colombia, and officially assumed the function of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Colombia, with residence in Lima, Republic of Peru.

On this occasion, Her Excellency Marta Lucía Ramírez de Rincón, Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Colombia, hosted a luncheon in honour of the Foreign Ambassadors concurrently accredited to the Republic of Colombia who were present at the ceremony at the Palacio de San Carlos, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Colombia.
