The 49th Chiang Mai Flower Festival is coming back in all its floral glory to Nong Buak Hard Public Park from February 13th – 15th, 2026. Chiang Mai Flower Festival highlights

February, a peak time for seasonal blossoms, draws a significant number of visitors, eager to experience the city’s lush floral displays and boosting local economic activity substantially.

The Chiang Mai Flower Festival begins with an elaborate Opening Ceremony and Floral Float Parade on February 14th, starting at the Nawarat Bridge, featuring 25 elaborately decorated floats. These displays celebrate the cultural and botanical richness of the region.

Nong Buak Hard Public Park will be transformed into a floral wonderland, displaying over a million flowers from more than 100 tropical and temperate plant species. In the past, the park has featured interactive installations such as a night-illuminated flower garden, a laser tunnel, and glow-in-the-dark body painting activities, all designed to create a memorable visitor experience.

In addition, the festival will include performances, craft exhibitions, and stalls selling traditional Thai products, further enriching the cultural tapestry of the event. There are also plenty of other activities to engage visitors, like floral arrangement workshops, sustainable & organic gardening seminars, landscape design sessions, flower photography workshops, and talks on plant biodiversity, conservation, and natural pest management techniques suited to Northern Thailand’s climate.

The festival grounds will remain open until midnight, allowing visitors to enjoy the illuminated displays after dark, thereby accommodating more attendees and enhancing their festival experience. This extended access ensures that all guests have ample opportunity to engage with the festival’s many attractions at their convenience. For more information, please follow festival updates on its official Facebook PageTAT Chiang Mai’s Facebook Page, and TAT Chiang Mai’s Instagram account.
